Did you watch the original series? I’m from the South and was quite young when the show first came out, so my parents, who were strict, thought it was a bit too “gritty” for me. I had to sneak and watch an episode whenever possible.
Favorite episode? There are so many! I recently watched the episode where Kelly’s mom proves she’s an alcoholic and druggie. I’m impressed with how Jennie Garth played the role so honestly.
Who was your teen icon growing up? I watched Titanic five times in the theater, more for Kate Winslet than Leonardo DiCaprio.
Whom are you most excited to work with from the original cast? Definitely Jennie Garth. She has this understated humor that I love to see peek through.
Whom would you like to see make an appearance on the new show? Luke Perry! Come on, it’s Luke Perry. Need I say more?
What was your reaction when you found out you landed the part? Disbelief. Pilot seasons are notorious for their ups and downs, and I just kept saying, “What? Say that again? What? Ahhh!”
How would you describe your character? Silver is the independent spirit who’s somewhat of an outsider within the group. I hope to show other young girls through this character that it’s OK to be unique and have your own opinion and speak up when you feel something.
